This is one of the best articles I ve ever read on migrating to a non-PC dev platform for Flash. Even after starting dev on a mac I was always stuck to a PC for a long time because of FD and was not very pleased at the fact that I could not use Linux for Flash dev!

I got stuck on this too. Running Flash Builder 4 beta 2 on Mac 10.6.1 throws the 'failure to load svn client' error unless you install the following when connecting to subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.6.x :

Subversion Client Adapter 1.6.4.1
Subversion JavaHL 1.6.6
SVN Team Provider Core 1.6.5
SVN Team Provider UI 1.6.5
SVNKit Client Adapter 1.6.4
SVNKit Library Plugin 1.3.1.6109

with SVN version 1.6.2 running on your machine.

Basically select everything except for the optional Subversion Revision Graph & the optional Subclipse integration for Mylyn and you should be good to go.

Fantastic tutorial Jesse. Thanks for writing this out.

http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.4.x does not work on mac os 10.5.7 because it requires svn 1.6.2 but mac comes with 1.4.4

Upgrading the mac svn to 1.6.2 causes a "failure to load svn client" error.

Would it be better to stick to http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.2.x ?
