How To Use These Effects
Download the source zip file, extract it to your hard drive, and open TextFXPack.fla. You’ll see all of the effects available on the first frame of the timeline.
Click on the text (not the background) of the effect you wish to duplicate:
In the Properties panel, check out the Filter section:
Click the little clipboard icon, and press “Copy All”:
In your own Flash project (i.e., another FLA), select the text to which you’d like to apply the filter:
In the Filters section of the Properties panel, click the little clipboard again and select “Paste”:
Tada!

Unexpected format when I open it in CS4.
Sorry, just read the software requierements… But can’t you export it for CS4 and CS3 as well?
Good call. I’ve updated the zip file with a CS4 FLA. I’ll see what we can do about a CS3 version, too.
Sorry, there’s no reason the files shouldn’t have been available from CS3 onwards – problem now rectified :)
