My name is Philip Thonbo i live and work in Copenhagen (Denmark) at http://molamil.com wich is a strong interactive agency in Copenhagen - we do mainly flash assignments with a strong focus on user experience for clients like Coca-Cola in all of scandinavia. My personal website is http://thonbo.com which is fairly old but i try to update my flash section at least - im also involved in the "Danish Flash User Group" at http://flashforum.dk where i write news and articles from time to time - besides flash i have resently been involving my self more into aftereffects and abit 3d - and will hopefully soon be able to call my self VFX artist

Twice a month, we revisit some of our readers’ favorite posts from throughout the history of Activetuts+. This tutorial was first published in April, 2009.

In this tutorial we’ll create a magnifying glass effect, demonstrating use of the displacementMapFilter. The effect can be achieved in a relatively short space of time and with very little code.
