hello!

i've been using flash catalyst beta to create a simple 100% flash portfolio site. you can view the test here: http://remgriff.110mb.com/

my problem is that i want to link a button from the portfolio page to an external swf file (or html, both are ok) and i cannot do that in flash catalyst (probably because it's in beta).

how can i achieve that? can it be done so the external swf opens in the portfolio page?

please help.

thank you.

Thanks for the answer. I guess the bug will be solved soon, but still this doesn't do enough for me.

If I work in a team where in parallel the designer have to work on the catalyst project, and the developer on the code, I can't just export the project, wait... wait... wait... and then when the graphics is ok restart with the develop part.

It seems strange to me that Adobe didn't think at this... So I'm thinking if I'm missing something :).

bye

Hi Reggie,
That is a big issue! Flash Builder can open FC fxp files, but if you export the fxp project from Flash Builder then Flash Catalyst will not be able to read it again, kind of weird right?!

Maybe on the final release...

Cheers!

Nice article, but I've one doubt. As the developer import it in a Flash Builder project, what is going to happen when the catalyst project change. I didn't understand if the changes inside of the MXML files are keept or if they are loosed. I think this is really important for collaboration in a project, but I couldn't find an answer until now.

Thanks
