  3. I want to be able to learn how to build websites of this caliber:
    http://2advanced.com

  4. Tony says:

    Standard advertising banners, please, please!
    Ciao!

  5. Moe says:

a variety of levels i may suggest some of us are beginners some are intermediates and the rest would be experts …

with focusing on the new trends, like liquid flash designs, scripting and intro to OOP ( doesnt mean that everything should be in OOP ;) )

    Papervision and FiVE3D ( starting )

    using tweening engines etc…

and some Flash SEO would be nice too …

am demanding too much now lol.

    i (love) tuts+ network

I would love to see a series from beginner to advanced in as3. That would be AWESOME! I’ve watched soooo many videos and tried reading through books but nothing is sticking in my designer brain, I keep trying to relate things in terms of css and html. Real world uses are great. Something for visual learners to grasp is a hard find! Without an understanding of how to actionscript, a lot of these tutorials will come off kind of daunting (writing packages, classes, functions, variables, etc…) At least from what I’ve seen so far.

  7. Jakub says:

I want to learn more about work with video in flash. I would like to apply video in the flash and customize the whole look of the player.

  8. Katy says:

I’d love to see a tutorial (or series of tutorials) on creating a completely Flash-based web site, from preloader to publishing on the web. The series could be organized thematically, from a “how-to” personal design portfolio to a corporate site.

I’m also interested in image transition effects, especially the more elegant effects like “fading squares.”

Keep up the great work, this is a wonderful resource.

  9. Garrett says:

It’s already been said, but I’ll cast my vote. AS3 beginner tuts would be nice. It’s hard enough as it is to keep up with current web technology. A good tutorial on this would be helpful.

Also, more specifically, a tutorial on how to make a scroll bar that utilizes the mouse wheel. This SHOULD be easy.

  10. Jason says:

Not sure if this will get noticed here, but you guys need to get a widget for flash.tutsplus happening on http://tutsplus.com/ ;)

  11. Igor says:

  13. How about one of those rock’n design weeks (like “web design week”).

You can highlight a couple “best” flash sites out there and go through the whole tuts-network on how to execute it (with a new look of course).

Maybe even head-hunting the creators to write them!

    FLASH DESIGN WEEK!!

Here’s my vote for a best flash site:
    http://www.2advanced.com/

  14. Miro says:

A tutorial on creating short little cartoons would prove very popular I’d imagine and lots of the skills learned there would be transferable to other projects so I’d be a valuable learning source.

    My Flash Wish List
    1. Fully integrated CMS to output to Flash. Using calls from a database, adding photos to the CMS so they auto input to a Flash gallery, etc…
    2. You know how some Flash adds overlay the HTML of the page. Used a lot on the news sites. They scroll or animate across the page and HTML and then end up in their ad space. How do you do that?
    3. Full Flash site.
    4. 3D modeling with Flash.
    5. Ways to quick load Flash sites. Sometimes Flash sites take a very long time to load. How about ways to make the sites load faster. I have seen some where they use separate Flash swf’s and pull those when a click event happens. They seem to work. Not sure what the remifications, if any, are of doing that.
    6. Making a Flash movie player skin. A good one, not the pre-built components that come with Flash. Something from scratch.
    7. Javascript and Flash integration. In know Flash CS3 has the capabilities. How about some good tutorials on how that would work.
    8. Drawing with Flash then animate it into a small movie of such.

  29. mansS says:

A very own flash music player with xml playlist. That will interesting, put into social network or websites.

  30. Can flashtuts create a tutorial or maybe a reader might know how to make flash player export a swf file that you can pass to email.

    Ex.

    http://www.vision23media.com/tripcards

I am creating a electronic postcard website. I’m trying to figure out how to send the postcard to recipients email with an attached swf. I am able to pass all the text information. But I want the recipient to receive an interactive postcard. Currently I don’t think there is a way to add flash to someone’s email.

  31. d says:

  33. Yahvus says:

I would like to create a Flash splash page (AS 3.0) that loads a .php site. Also show us how to create a custom slideshow. Maybe get some of the creators of the winning sites on, http://www.thefwa.com/ to do a tut. I am sooooooo stoked about this site.

I would love an article about how to get better at Actionscript code. There are so many tutorials out there but I would like to know how to retain that knowledge and come up with ideas on my own, other than just copy pasting what other people do.

Simply, how can I become an advanced user?

  49. Brett says:

I would love a tutorial about how to preload multiple movieclips with AS 2.0. I sometimes have projects where I need to import movieclips and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to preload the movie clips I’m importing so when they are viewed the play automatically. A majority of my AS knowledge is with 2.0 so I would love a tutorial that explains it in AS 2.0.

    THANKS!
