As the old adage goes, "necessity is the mother of invention" and there seems to be a definite need for a Coding Conventions Guide on Flashtuts+. A Conventions Guide will help authors keep their tuts, source files etc. universally understandable and will help everyone else get to grips with AS3 Best Practices.
Several of you have asked for it, some have even said you’ll help out. As of today you can do just that! Read on to find out how..
What Exactly Is It?
The Flashtuts+ ActionScript 3.0 Coding Conventions Guide will set out standard rules and practices for writing ActionScript. From file structure and code formatting to workflow and application usage. It will be written by the readers, for the readers and all ideas are welcome. When it’s complete, we’ll decide on the most effective way of publishing the information (.pdf, series of web pages) whatever we decide; your opinion counts!
What’s important is that by collaborating, we’ll put together something useful and unique for Flash users on the web.

How Can I Help??
If you’re interested in adding your 10 cents, leave your email address in the comments. You’ll receive an invite to access the editable pages (you’ll need a Google account too) at which point you can get contributing! You’ll be able to add pages, edit pages, leave comments, upload attachments, subscribe to a feed informing you of the latest page changes and so on.
Well, I’ve rambled on for long enough, it’s your turn! Don’t forget to leave your email address if you want to get involved..

I’m finally starting to feel a bit caught up at the new job so I think I’ll have some time to help out.
this could be a really nice resource if managed well..
